St. Patrick's Day Snacks

St.  Paddy’s Day is upon us and since the years of drinking green beer are behind me, I’m stuck with making Leprechaun themed treats instead.

This is a holiday I love to celebrate but also not make a big deal of,  so super quick and easy is the name of the game for me. This year the kids and I just had fun with desserts instead of crafts. Here’s a link to past years craft and snack choices! -->

This year I discovered a yummy recipe from The Baking Chocolatess for Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats and now I’m wondering why we don’t make marshmallow cereal bars more often! It takes less than 10 minutes and the kids love to help. Not to mention the burner is set to low/simmer so I’m not worried about them burning themselves as easily.

Second was our tried and true favorite of lime jello, cool whip, and lucky charms sprinkled on top. Another super easy snack, that we do every year and the kids LOVE it. But, of course, what's not to love about jello and lucky charms? I also made this for my sons preschool class. Super easy but still exciting.
