Diary Entry: Week of June 11th

A  new baby in the house brings sleepless nights and irritable days. It was nice to start getting out of the house and feel like a human again but we definitely aren't back into the daily adventure swing of things yet. The goal was to make it to the new Children's garden at Franklin Park Conservatory but we are all familiar with what they say about best laid plans...

Regardless, there were definitely many highlights last week. On Tuesday we were miraculously squeezed in for a hair appointment at Ambushed Salon. Got some great new products and a much more manageable tutorial on how to care for Charlotte's hair on a day to day basis. Even snuck in some brand rep pics for Moots Clothing and Legacy Learning Academy. I would have loved more time to walk around Creekside but we'll have to save that for another time.

On Wednesday, Columbus Moms Blog hosted a community event at AR Workshop. There was great food, wine, and camaraderie. Or should I say . . . momaradeie? And all in addition to making an awesome wooden craft. This is a business I can't wait to return to. So many projects available to make our house feel much more like a home!

Thursday I got an opportunity to check out the soft opening of Clean Juice in Westerville hosted by 614Mom. The smoothies were delicious, I got to connect with my blogging ladies, and how awesome is there prayer jar?! I even chatted with the owner for a bit and she is amazingly sweet and kind. I wish their business all the best.

Saturday and Sunday was Father's Day weekend of course! There were so many fun activities available around Columbus but we settled with fishing for Saturday. Hilliard had a fun fishing derby Saturday night where you fished at Hilliard Municipal Park, watched Daddy Day Care at dusk, and enjoyed some food trucks. No luck on catching anything there so we went on to Prairie Oaks Metro Park for more fishing!

Sunday we headed to the Columbus Museum of Art since it’s free on Sundays! And considering it was insanely hot outside, it was a great way to stay cool.

We topped the day off playing in the fountains at Hilliard Station Park.
