A Family That Swims Together, Stays Together

Our children have been attending Goldfish swim school for the last year now. I didn't  know if it was possible to love them any more than we already do but then... we went to our first family swim session. I can regale you with statistics about how swimming strengthens your child's body, motor skills, etc, but honestly? It was just fun. SO much fun. There's probably a hundred wonderful bonding opportunities you can have with your child but something about my son and I spending time together at family swim was just extra special. It was much more intimate. We were face to face looking into each other's eyes, forced to pay the upmost attention to each other. For one thing, you can't exactly take your eyes off a 4 year old while he's attempting to swim, but why would you want to anyways? I watch him during his lessons but admittedly I get distracted and look at my phone, or have to stop Baby E from eating chalk. To be up close and have him show me everything he's learned was absolutely incredible. And he was over the moon excited to show me! And although he adores his swim classes, he was extra tickled to see all the lane ropes removed and be able to play with all the fun equipment.

Goldfish swim school offers family swim times Monday - Thursday 12-1 at the Dublin location and 12:30-1:30 at the Westerville location. Both facilities offer family swim Friday nights 6:30 - 8pm. With a special fun theme once a month! Family swim is free for members and 5$/person with a max of $15/family. If you are curious about Goldfish and whether swim lessons might be a good idea for your family, a family swim session is the perfect opportunity to try the place out. You won't get the experience of the awesome instruction but you'll warm up from the cold in their shiver free, 90 degree water, check out all their fun learning equipment, and just generally experience the welcoming and loving environment at this facility.

Make sure to bring towels, goggles, and a swim diaper if your child isn't potty trained yet.

Happy swimming!
