Quarantine Day 3
/After a day of slacking we were ready to be a bit more productive today! Breakfast and the morning was a blur so I can’t really comment on that but by around 10 am we were ready to get some e-learning done and printed out some more of the free daily learning printables from Legacy Learning Academy.
You can see from the pictures that everyone was still rocking their St. Paddy’s day gear and enjoying their goodies from Grandmom and leftover treats from me.
At noon we watched another live music class from Bubbles Academy while having lunch. Funny how Oliver is getting significantly more stimulation than normal with all of this streaming material! Poor kid has only been to one music class so far and it just hasn’t worked out schedule wise to get him to more. Now with “quarantine tv” he’s watched 4 baby music classes! Lucky guy, he is loving it.
1:00 PM: Off to nap time for Oliver, Prodigy for Sebastian, Westworld on my phone for me, Netflix for the girls. Standard nap time situation.
Once Oliver was up again around 3 PM, we caught a live show from Paulette’s Princess Parties. Our favorite company from back in Columbus. What a treat that we were able to stream a performance from Elsa and Anna and learn about how to wash our hands, be a prince or princess, and hear them sing our favorite songs in their beautiful voices. I have to figure out a way to get them to Chicago. I am telling you that she is the best character company around, hands down. If you are reading this from Ohio, near Columbus, you can read all about the company here.
Time for the PE portion of our e-learning! I totally remember being little and thinking gym was fun. That changes by high school kids, just saying.
5:30 PM rolls around and now it’s time for dinner. After dinner the kids want another round of Shamrock Shakes and a rousing game of Truth or Dare. There were dares to run around the outside of our house in barefoot, slide down the slide, taste hot sauce, and finally…. see who can get ready for bed the fastest. (That was the dare I came up with, obviously.)
Then we had story time and bedtime and when it came to adult time…. I fell asleep watching Love Island, AGAIN. Being a daytime SAHM is tiring y’all.
I guess I should explain that since I work at night, I am technically home all day long. But with our crazy school schedule, the day is spent driving around doing pick ups and drop offs. I take two to school in the morning, pick up 1 from 1/2 day kinder, take another to preschool about 45 min later. Put Oliver down for a nap, pick up the preschooler, then the 1st grader and then dinner time, bed time, etc. All of that is definitely tiring but it’s more of a physical drain. Being home with them all day is a lot more of a non stop weekend. Constant begging, whining, entertaining, cleaning…. but also bonding, emotional support, laughter & giggles… it’s just a very interesting time and we are making the most of it.
Until tomorrow….
